Michael Kaschesky is head of the Linked Data research group at Bern University of Applied Sciences (BUAS), the region’s largest state university for applied research. He holds a PhD from Aston Business School, one of the leading management schools in Europe. Prior to that, he worked over 10 years in the multimedia and internet business, such as coordinating promotion and training for the global intranet of a leading pharmaceutical company. At BUAS, his research team focuses on intelligent knowledge systems where he coordinates the international research project Fusepool. Fusepool develops a data pool of linked data with a focus on raw text sources to enable developers and data visualization designers to develop apps on top of that data.
